Overview
Ecomly is EcomLabs' own Shopify app, built as an embedded Remix surface using Polaris so it reads as part of the admin rather than a bolted-on iframe. The engineering problem was never generation — it was safety. Product content is live commercial copy, so every draft is held in a review state, each field is versioned before a write, and changes are applied through the GraphQL Admin API in batches that can be rolled back.
What EcomLabs did
- Designed and built the embedded Shopify app surface in Remix with Polaris.
- Modeled the draft, review and apply lifecycle so no write happens unreviewed.
- Implemented batched writes against the GraphQL Admin API with rate handling.
- Engineered field-level versioning and one-click rollback of applied changes.
- Built the multi-language drafting path and the store-context configuration.
